A desktop home for a vanished service

Keyboard shortcuts also made common actions feel quicker for people who spent a lot of time following fast-moving conversations and collaborative threads.

The client added practical tools around the Google Wave experience rather than replacing the service itself. It could reopen previously active waves after launch, support drag-and-drop file attachments through Google Gears, copy Wave IDs for sharing, and print entire waves. Those features made it easier to keep track of ongoing discussions, although some expanded tools were reserved for the paid Waveboard Pro edition.
